First batch of Modern Warfare 3 maps out now for XBL premium ELITE members

Today, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 content season officially kicks off with the release of the first two content drops for Xbox Live premium Call of Duty ELITE members. There is still no word on when the content will drop for PlayStation Network premium ELITE members, though we do know that March will see the first Modern Warfare 3 content pack available for download by all, which will feature the first five content drops in one complete package.

Today's drops include two maps--"Piazza," set in a seaside Italian getaway, and "Liberation," set in New York's Central Park. These are the first two content drops of the currently scheduled five--the next one will release in February, and the last two in March. There is said to be around twenty total packs during the content season, featuring multiplayer maps, new game modes, and "Spec Ops" missions.

To download the ELITE content, just select the "Store" option in Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer menu.
