Battlefield 1943 has still got it

Of the top ten best-selling PlayStation Network titles of 2011, DICE's 2009 online-only outing with Battlefield 1943 still managed to rank eighth, beating out the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection and Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. Battlefield 1943 is a superb title, be it downloadable-only or not, but to see that it still had legs with the subsequent releases of Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3--not to mention with the last couple Call of Duty releases--is truly deserving of an award: The "Shooter That Managed to Stay Relevant Longer Than 11 Months" award. Yea, that sounds good.

Unsurprisingly, the Resident Evil 4 remake took the number two spot, and even more unsurprisngly, Tetris came in at numero uno.

Regarding the top ten paid add-ons, numbers one, two, and three go to Call of Duty: Black Ops "First Strike," "Escalation," and "Annihilation" respectively. Again, my main agenda here was making it known that 1943 still rocks PSN to this day. That's awesome.
